SILENCE - Hal recommends taking a moment to quiet down when you wake up. This could be done in many ways, for example, you could meditate, or do deep breathing.
AFFIRMATIONS - Affirm yourself with encouraging words to achieve your goals, overcome your obstacles, be more courageous and feel happier.
VISUALIZATION - Imagine your wildest dreams and all of your goals as if they’re happening now. Really feel yourself there, feel yourself winning, feel yourself on top of the world as if you already achieved everything you ever dreamed about.
EXERCISE - Go for a walk, go to the gym, go for a jog- Whatever you end up doing, it’s important to exercise first thing in the morning. Hal shares that this brings oxygen to your body and brain which helps set you off on the right foot, and makes you more energized throughout the day.
The other benefit to this is that when you start your day by doing something difficult, the rest of your day follows suit. Win the morning, win the day.
READING - Fill your brain with positive ideas. When you make sure to read or study something that helps you achieve your goals every single morning, you set yourself on a continuous trajectory to get just a little better every day.
Imagine you’re 1% better every single day- At the end of a year, you’re a whopping 365% better.
SCRIBING - Write a journal to reflect on anything you feel is best. Your victories, your fears, your worries, your hopes, your dreams. Get it onto paper and out of your head.
The SAVERS model ideally takes around an hour or so, but you can also do a shortened quick 6 minute version of it if you’re in a hurry.
