We’ve donated over 10,000 school supply kits to underprivileged students in Africa.

Co-founders Ruth and Kuda Biza both grew up in Africa. They saw first-hand what it was like for students to struggle through school without school supplies, and decided to do something about it.

Now, #ThisIsMyEra partners with the Amani Hope Foundation to get school supply kits to kids in need. Amani Hope provides scholarships to underprivileged students to attend school through their nonprofit program, and the school supply kits go to these children.

“The students appreciate the care and love because most of them come from underprivileged backgrounds or are orphans.

They are children that are already struggling at home to get a meal and school fees so giving them school resources makes a big difference.

When the students are better equipped, they are more confident. They can do their schoolwork, homework and write exams with no worry.

No matter the situation they have left at home, they at least know that someone cares about their future.”

We partner with a nonprofit that gives gradeschool scholarships to underprivileged kids. Many of them can’t buy supplies, so they often write in the dirt.

Kit Production Creates Jobs In Africa

The kit includes writing utensils, an eraser, a protractor, a ruler, and a pencil case. All of these are produced in South Africa.

Our Program Director Hand- Delivers the Kits

We have a team on the ground in Zimbabwe to hand-deliver the kits to students. We track our impact and we know exactly where every kit (and donation) is going.
